After the big fallout between 13s and other clans, and with the closing of x.am, things were looking Grim. So i reached out to dragonheart.bsm and Widowmaker and came up with some plans to integrate our immediate communities. Those plans have not yet presented themselves, but i digress. For now we want to build bridges and not burn them. While GAOP was never directly involved in the big dramafest that took place on bnet, we still have ties with all communities and there are certainly times when we cross lines as humans do silly things. Despite this non-comformative statement for this post, the context of it stays true, that we are not involved. But not getting involved also means losing out on certain events which will transpire in the coming months, events such as tournaments, and what-not. With other battleships projects on the horizon, we thought it fitting to preserve the spirit of battelships and therefore put our asses out there, exposed for the world, to make, what we hope, a positive impact on the Greater Battleships League. While we have no real say in any disputes within Clan 13s ourselves, we can however put our 2 cents in, in hopes it will get others thinking. Well after posting down Ref's comment on Tug, several others responded which ultimately led to a conversation between me and widow in private through the instant messenger system on my site. What ensued was a candid talk between me and the leader of Clan 13s (who some consider the Spokesperson for Battleships in it's current state). Being the elder statesmen and original founder of the clan, i found it necessary to put things as they may be, which is in flux. After mentioning to Widow, in 2000 words or less, what my current thought process on this debacle was, we came to an agreement to work together (right now just by coming up with ideas) to better our leagues and most importantly to bring us all together, as, with how it stands currently, things are quite divided and clans are rather fragmented on our server.
